With an inaugural flight, the airline LOT established a regular line between Warsaw and Podgorica.

By 2030, 180,000 people will live in the coastal municipalities, there will be 230,000 beds, and the number of overnight stays would be over 24 million, which is two times more than now.

The Spanish low-cost carrier Vueling plans to set up a direct seasonal airline between Barcelona and Podgorica. 

563,504 passengers came through both Montenegrin airports in the first five months of this year, which is 90,000 more than the same period last year.

June 3, 2018 - The UNESCO Committee found that, in the Draft Conclusion for the Kotor area, which will be proposed for adoption at Bahrain, some moves have been made, but that HIA studies cannot compensate for bad plans, which remain in force. Kotor HIA and the Law on Spatial Planning and Construction of Structures do not provide clear and detailed guidance for resolving the problem, new actors will be introduced into the planning system, which, according to experts, suggests that unacceptable projects can still be legitimately put forward.

June 2, 2018 - In the Draft of Spatial Planning of Special Purpose for the Coastal Zone of Montenegro, which is in public debate until June 4, there are no planned locations for the clubs that have been engaged in sailing training for decades. This is another aspect of the local tradition and culture of living, which is completely neglected in the approach to spatial planning, which defines the whole coastal zone primarily as a space for tourism development.
