June 23, 2018 - Tivat's painter Vladimir Jovićević builds his professional career in Florence, where he paints and teaches at the prestigious Florence Academy of Art. This very productive painter show his talent early, when he started to study drawing and painting in the Drawing and Painting School, under the auspices of the Tivat Culture Center. Today, his paintings can be found in private collections all over the world.

June 22, 2018 - The new classical music festival Mediterranean Notes successfully opened last night with a beautiful concert dedicated to the World Music Day at the brand new summer location in the Porto Montenegro Village (Tivat). The former Yugoslavian shiplift platform, or the submarine synchrolift, was renovated and turned into a dramatic new 2100 sqm location named the Syncro Building. The charming notes by Brahms and Mozart celebrated the opening of the new location and the new Montenegrin musical festival.

TMN was happy to speak about this promising event with the festival artistic director Ivan Vukcevic, and an exceptional musician taking part in first two festival concerts, Baiba Skride.

June 21, 2018 – Purgatorije, a prestigious summer theater festival happening each year in Tivat, will open tomorrow night with one of the hits of the Belgrade stage - a Chicago musical show produced by musical theater Na Terazijama.

TMN has spoken to the director Kokan Mladenovic about the show and other plays Purgatorije is offering this year.

June 17, 2018 - FAO expert, Dr. Parviz Koohafkan, is coming to Tivat on Monday in order to participate in the final conference of the project "Agriscape&ME". This project, which lasted for 12 months, aimed to encourage cooperation and give guidelines for better protection, reconstruction and use of traditional agricultural landscapes as a base for sustainable agricultural development of Montenegro.
