Senior Fest is organized by the Institute for Contemporary Education and Professional Development of Montenegro, in cooperation with the Association of Pensioners of Podgorica and the Adventure Park Gorica, supported by the creative agency "Good Voice". The Fest is the result of the enthusiasm of a group of people gathered around the project SeniorNet, most known for the Montenegrin portal for senior citizens, www.pensioners.me, which is supported by socially responsible companies like Societe General Bank and Idea.
The motto of the Senior Fest is "Then and now", and visitors will recall the games played by people in Gorica to promote healthy lifestyles and stay in nature.
Chess Club "Diagonal" will take part by organizing tournament juniors against the seniors, and the Beekeepers Association will organize fun games and competitions for children with grandparents, dance clubs, and healthcare professionals who will answer questions about health and healthy lifestyles,
The organizers invite all 55+ seniors to apply to participate in competitions, games, fast-walks or join the Fest organization committee.
The target of the Senior Net project is the social inclusion of seniors, often found on the societal margins, being unfairly neglected and forgotten.
They add that they prepared many more activities and benefits for seniors, including workshops for computer literacy of seniors so that they can also connect, socialize and inform them about themes that interest them through social networks and forums.
