April 21, 2018 - Representatives of the Montenegrin Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism attended the annual Tourism and Travel Fair in Pristina, Albania. The Tourism and Travel Fair is a two-day event held from the 19-20th of April 2018 at the Palace of Youth and Sports in Pristina.
The Fair had between five and ten thousand visitors and boasts around one hundred exhibitors annually. The event has an exceptional reputation acquired by the high-quality organization. During the Tourism and Travel Fair, visitors can create networks with numerous professionals from the tourism and sports industry. The Fair is organized by CEO – Congress & Event Organization, a company that specializes in event management.
Each year, the exhibitors “reveal” a significant number of tourist attractions, hotels, restaurants and resorts, green tourism and rural tourist destinations, as well as indoor and outdoor sports attractions, sports equipment and the fitness industry.
The annual Tourism and Travel Fair has improved over the years and tends to become a regionally highly valued event based on its potential as a platform for arranging the official promotion of tourist and sports offers.
In cooperation with The National Tourism Organization of Montenegro and its partners, representatives of the Montenegrin Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism have presented the tourist offer of Montenegro. Montenegro’s chief representative, Ćazim Hodžić, had the honor of being the exhibitor of the Fair and addressed numerous visitors from eight different countries. Mr. Hodžić expressed a tremendous amount of gratitude to all visitors, thanks to the fact that the statistics show a constant increase in the number of tourists from the region over the years. He implied that the figures prove the improvement of quality in Montenegro's tourist offer each year.
During his speech, Mr. Hodžić emphasized that the State of Montenegro is officially open for all incoming tourists from all over the world. He also said that Montenegro readily awaits the beginning of the new summer tourist season.
Also, visitors have had the chance to be informed about the recent changes in the upcoming season, which are mostly related to road infrastructure improvement, accelerated dynamics of crossing the border during the summer season, new offers associated with the true Montenegro experience (both the beach and the mountains within minutes) as well as competitive prices.
Montenegro also had a stand where the tourist offer was presented by the local touristic organizations from Budva, Ulcinj and Tivat.
Reports show that the Tourism and Travel Fair has a positive influence on the number of tourists visiting Montenegro, especially from Pristina, the Fair headquarters and the capital and largest city of Kosovo. Precisely, 46,948 tourists from Kosovo visited Montenegro in 2017, which is 21% more than the year before.
