After changing the methodology of measuring the main parameters of the tourist season last year, the official data at the monthly level are published only for hotels, motels, hostels and other facilities of the so-called collective accommodation. During 2017, there were 955,499 visitors who stayed in them. Out of the number, 843,609 tourists were from abroad and 111,890 from Montenegro.
The total number of overnight stays in this period was 3.89 million, out of which 3.45 million were made by foreigners, and 431.370 by Montenegrins.
Tourists from Serbia, Russia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Ukraine visited Montenegro the most. They accounted for 72% of the total number of tourists and 76.2% of overnight stays.
