The owner of the Main Bus Station in Herceg Novi, the D Station company from Budva, has received technical conditions for the upgrading of the canopy, and by the end of the week submits to the competent local secretariat a conceptual solution. If the Secretariat for Spatial Planning and Construction agrees, the owner will be able to request a building permit.
Although during the summer season, due to the ban on carrying out construction works, no major actions were possible, the new owner said that besides setting the fence and the entrance and exit ramps, they improved the exterior and space inside the building. According to Stanko Vidakovic, CEO of D Station, it is one of the reasons for a very successful season: "We had an average of about a thousand passengers a day. They are all serviced the way we promised - there were no delays, crowds at the entrance and exit ramps, stops on the highway, every bus was properly received and dispatched from the station. A transparent ticketing system has been set up, and we have also raised the service level at the check-in desk" – Vidaković marks.
The most interest of passengers was for Dubrovnik and the standard lines of Blue Line and Lasta for Belgrade, he adds.
Despite the announced construction of a new bus station in Igalo, Vidaković says his company will only try to do what it has bought for the old station from Vektra Boka - to provide the best service to passengers and carriers: "We did not get to know the new spatial plan and the way it defines the current location of the Bus Station. We have been honored and arranged to be able to handle a large number of passengers and buses and hope to stay there" - assures Vidakovic.
Soon there will be also the Bus Station web site, through which it will be possible to do the online ticket purchase.
The company D Station, in cooperation with Lalatović travel doo, was selected in mid-November last year on the tender as the best bidder for the purchase of the Bus Station object, owned before by Vektra Boka. The bus station in Herceg Novi was sold at a tender for EUR 370,000.
