22 August 2018 - For the first time, after 28 years, Croatia will be directly connected to the USA, with a direct airline from June 2019.
“After long 28 years, the Republic of Croatia will be directly reconnected to the USA via Airport Dubrovnik”. This was written on the Facebook page of the airport in Dubrovnik.
Dubrovnik and the USA will be connected from June 7, 2019, to October 27, 2019, three times a week, through the American city Philadelphia with the greatest world airline American Airlines.
“Air company “American Airlines” is a member of the Oneworld Airline Alliance and it currently has 955 planes and employs 122.000 persons. It makes 6.700 flights to 350 destinations on a daily basis. It will fly to Dubrovnik with the Boeing type, 767 – 300, with the capacity of 28 luxurious seats in business class and 181 seats in economy class, and the passengers will be provided with Wi-Fi during the entire flight,” reported the representatives of the airport in Dubrovnik.
This would be a major step forward for both Dubrovnik and the Republic of Croatia. And since Dubrovnik is not that far away from Montenegro, this will definitely be good news for Montenegrin citizens who have traveled to the USA with flight interchanges.
