July 1, 2018 - More than 400 tourists are currently located in hotels and private accommodation in Kolašin, said representatives of the Kolašin Tourist Organization. They also added that the number of locals and guests from the region increased in comparison to last year.

Director of Tourist Organization of Kolašin, Marija Brajović, said that the number of local tourists is particularly increased on weekends and that the reason behind this is the participation in various seminars that are often held in this city during this period.

According to her, tourists from Luxembourg, France, the Czech Republic and Israel are in Kolašin these days, and according to hotel owners, they expect the number of tourists to increase even more.

Brajović said that regarding the accommodation capacities in the private households, tourists mostly stay individually, while the hotels often host groups from abroad.

“I believe that the presentation of the summer tourism offer of Kolašin at the fairs since the beginning of the year is a huge step forward and that the results of a significant number of tourists from the region are already noticeable now,” noted Brajović.

She added that July and August, beside the activities in the mountains, rivers, the National Park Biogradska Gora, villages and canyons, will feature a rich cultural and entertainment programme.

“Citizens and tourists will be able to enjoy the festival programme of the alternative theater “Korifej”, which will be held from July 22nd to August 18th, as well as the North Festival which will start on July 27th. Many young bands will perform at the North Fest, such as Bolero (BIH), Najda and Smak tribute (SER), Ki (FYRM), Nečista Sila (CRO), former band Tap 011, as well as the local bands Rudolf from Kolašin and Akademia from Bar.” Said Brajović.

She reminded everyone that the Tourist Organization Kolašin was in a financial crisis over the past few years, but now the organization is profitable, which means that cooperation with the tourists can be achieved at a higher level.

“It turned out that the Tourist Organization of Kolašin can work better and that the results of such work are already visible. This is an opportunity to support the existing manifestations and for the new ones to be realized,” concluded Brajović.
