May 12, 2018 - Three members of the Travel Channel team including Jonathan Legg stayed in Montenegro from the 8th to 12th of May. With the help and support of the Montenegrin National Tourism Organization, they recorded an episode which is going to be broadcast in the series “Road Less Traveled”.
This is not the first time Jonathan Legg has come to Montenegro, and during his last stay last summer, he made an episode about the country. He was inspired by the legends of Don Quixote and Dulcinea and the great love between the beautiful Pava and Ahmet pasha, which can be compared to the story of Romeo and Juliet. Keeping this in mind, Mister Legg’s initial intention was to create a tourist story about Montenegro, its unique places to visit, traditional cuisine, cultural curiosities and to tell the whole story through the prism of legends about love stories across Montenegro.
This team, led by Jonathan Legg, spent the first two days visiting Herceg Novi, Perast and Ulcinj, making a connection of Ulcinj and Don Quixote. Their trip continued to Cectinje, Njegusi and Kotor, while the last day of their journey they visited Podgorica, Kolasin and Bijelo Polje, concluding the story about Montenegro and the love story about Ahmet Pasha and Pava.
The first episode that featured Jonathan Legg and the show “Road Less Traveled” was recorded initially in India, but it quickly spanned all over the world. Soon enough, the show was shown in many countries, scoring numbers such as 16.2 million viewers on AWE TV in the United States of America, 14.7 million viewers on the Travel Channel International in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
This kind of information and the fact that a stand-alone episode was filmed in Montenegro presents an excellent tourist promotion for Montenegro, as well as the presentation about the country, its hidden beauties and wild nature.
