During a meeting of the EuroLeague management in Barcelona on Tuesday, its chief Jordi Bertomeu shook the hand of KK Budućnost Voli President Dragan Bokan
The head of the Podgorica team was very pleased with the outcome of the meeting at the headquarters of the elite basketball competition. “I am exceptionally pleased as the EuroLeague and KK Budućnost Voli are closer from today. The leadership of the EuroLeague and their top man presented further steps for our team, as well as completion deadlines regarding upgrades of the Morača arena. A monitoring team was named to stay on top of the monthly completion. In 15 days a clear dynamic will be set, with a final deadline at the end of August this year,” said Bokan after the meeting in Catalonia.
The Budućnost President noted the ball is in Podgorica’s court in order to secure conditions for EuroLeague matches in Morača. “From this moment on everything depends on us. We must show a high degree of seriousness in the Club, set up a new management which will communicate daily with EuroLeague representatives. It is key to honor EuroLeague standards in view of Morača arena. The decisive role belongs to the Sports Objects company, town of Podgorica and Montenegro,” added Bokan.
Budućnost earned its place in the EuroLeague by conquering the ABA League. It was better than Crvena Zvezda in the grand final in four matches.
