23 January 2019 - Women's Handball Club Budućnost received two big reinforcements for the next season - Jovanka Radičević and Majda Mehmedović signed two-year contracts with "the blue team" from Podgorica. This transfer will mark the return of Montenegro's national handball team players to Budućnost after eight seasons for Radičević, and three seasons for Mehmedović.
Since 2011, Radičević has played for Handball Club Győr for two seasons, then she wore Vardar jersey for five years, and currently she is a member of CSM București. She is one of the best players in the right-wing position. Jovanka has played for Budućnost from 2004 to 2011 and won two trophies - Cup Winners' Cup (2006 and 2010) with her co-players from Podgorica.
With the National Team of Montenegro, the 32-year-old player from Podgorica won the title of European champion and a silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games.
Mehmedović left Budućnost after the season 2015/16 and for the last three years, she is a CSM București's member.
The 28-year-old player from Bar, Montenegro, who plays in the left-wing position, spent nine years – from 2007 to 2016 – in the jersey of Handball Club Budućnost. She won the championship titles of Europe in 2012 and 2015 with the "blue team" and has the Cup Winners’ Cup 2010 trophy.
She was a member of the golden Montenegrin National Team that won the European championship title in 2012 and Silver at the Olympic Games.
