Mihail Pavićević's players opened the match well, after the first quarter they had a minimum advantage (25:24), but there was a big drop in the second quarter which the Italian team took to their advantage (18:32) and went to the big break with +13.
The reaction of the club from Bar was expected, but none of it happened, because the runner-up host went to the round +20 (56:76) in the last decisive ten minutes. The winner had already been resolved, therefore in the fourth quarter a recreational game has been seen on both sides.
Kadin Kerington was the most efficient for Mornar with 19 points, while Marin Mornar and Bronson Kejnig scored 12 points.
Mornar has traveled to Italy without three of the most successful last-season players Nemanja Vranješ and Uroš Luković having obligations in the Montenegrin and Serbian team, while Strahinja Mićović hurt himself during the tournament in France and must rest.
Right from the south of Italy, the crew from the port city goes to Tirana, from where they will travel to Pristina for a duel with Sigal. With the same rival, Mornar will play in Bar, and then host Russian Novosibirsk. Ahead they are expecting a trip to Belgrade and two control matches before the Super cup ABA League in Laktaši (September 20-23).
