The results of budget income collection are above the planned, while the government will in the coming period deal with the issue of illegal taxi drivers. Prime Minister Duško Marković held a meeting with inspection units and proclaimed budget income has been above planned since the beginning of the year and above last year’s results, with total economic results good and “the government has largely responded to the challenges of increasing budget income.”
As the government stated, the Tax Office presented results in which income in March of 2018 was 107.616.690,35 euro, 11.473.806,35 euro more than planned and 15.580.506,94 euro more than in March of 2018. The total income in the first quarter of 2018 was 233.422.935,62 euro, around 15 million more than planned, 27 million euro more than the first quarter of 2017.
“The Customs Office collected in the first quarter of 2018 the amount of 142,6 million euro, 10.3 million (7,86%) more than the first quarter of 2017. The meeting showed a need to compare the 2018 income growth to the fact of increased VAT rate. The Inspection Department compiled a Dynamic Plan of involving all inspection with a special focus on the labor market,” the government reported.
A meeting was held between the leadership of the Tax Office and other relevant institutions with representatives of the Montenegro Taxi Union under the Free Unions of Montenegro, on the topic of solving this issue of illegal taxis.
The meeting was attended by Deputy PM for economy policies and financial system and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Milutin Simović, Deputy PM for political system, interior and foreign policy and Justice Minister Zoran Pažin, Economy Minister Dragica Sekulić, general director of the Tax and Customs System Directorate at the Finance Ministry Novo Radović, Tax Office directors Miomir M. Mugoša, Customs Department Vladan Joković and Inspection Department Alija Košuta, with associates.
