The victory of the Democratic Socialist Party (DPS) President Milo Đukanović at Montenegro presidential elections is a sign of strong political and public support for the continuation of European development, it was concluded on Thursday’s presidency session of the DPS.
“Presidency of the Democratic Socialist Party of Montenegro, as a session presided by DPS President Milo Đukanović, has expressed its satisfaction with his convincing victory at the presidential elections held on April 15. The presidency concluded this is a sign of strong political and public support for the continuation of European development personified by President Đukanović, convinced that during his mandate further progress will be made in integrations, stability consolidation and national security, with further strengthening of the quality of life of citizens,” DPS has stated.
Đukanović and the DPS presidency expressed their gratitude to members, sympathizers, activists and the entire party infrastructure for what they called dedicated commitment to the realization of a decisive election victory, as well as to all citizens whose participation in the election process “contributed to further democratic progress of Montenegro.”
“The DPS presidency also considered party activities in the upcoming local elections in 12 districts, scheduled for May 20 and 27. Concluding that the victory by President Đukanović is a strong stimulus for party membership, we expect DPS will work with equal readiness and vitality during the coming weeks, in order to realize another strong election victory,” DPS has stated.
