European Council President Donald Tusk will visit Montenegro and other regional countries next week to prepare for the summit of the European Union and Western Balkans, to be held on May 17 in the Bulgarian capital.
“The message to our friends is clear: EU is and will continue to be the most dependable partner to the entire region. As the largest investor, largest trade market and best promise for the future of citizens. Our Summit will confirm the European perspective of the region. And more importantly – it should in a firm sense improve relations with the region and within it,” said Tusk.
Tusk is due to arrive in Montenegro on April 24, as reported by Radio Free Europe. Chief of European Diplomacy Federica Mogherini is due to arrive to Montenegro on Friday.
