“We congratulate the majority in the Kosovo Parliament. It is the confirmation of our ability to solve important regional issues by ourselves without requesting any intermediation. This is good news for our relations, for Kosovo and the European perspective regarding this region. Kosovo has fulfilled one of the crucial conditions for visa liberalization. We hoped that it would become a reality soon and beneficial for Kosovo citizens, as it is already for Montenegrins and other countries’ citizens in the Western Balkans," stated Markovic.
The prime minister is pleased that Montenegro contributed to coming to a solution with the traditionally good collaboration between Montenegro and Kosovo and in the spirit of European values and Strategy EK for ZB, as well as an excellent neighboring collaboration which Montenegro continuously carries out, as a liable regional active participant and member of NATO.
The Kosovo Parliament ratified the Agreement on the demarcation of the boundary line with Montenegro which enables the process of visa liberalization. The agreement on demarcation between Montenegro and Kosovo was signed in Vienna in 2015.
