On Tuesday 20th March, the presidency of the Kosovo parliament decided to hold a continuance of a special session where there the proposition of the Law on ratification of the agreement about the demarcation of the boundary line with Montenegro will be discussed.
The President of Parliament Kadri Veselji said that the goal is to complete this issue at the upcoming assembly.
“This is our goal. I am convinced that together we can achieve the finalization of this issue," said Veselji.
Veselji could not confirm if 80 votes have been secured for approval of the Law, but he stated that there is consensus to conclude this subject.
Previously, the prime minister of Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj announced a special session for 20th March at 2 p.m. while the presidency decided to hold the session two hours later.
The Parliament of Kosovo continues the assembly tomorrow where prime minister Ramush Haradinaj will answer the questions by the Self-commitment group on the circumstances about the violent death of Astrit Deharij, an activist from this group, on 5th November 2016 in a detention unit in Prizren.
The Parliament will also discuss the proposition of the program for their work in 2018 as well as parliament’s rules of procedure.
On the agenda, there is also a draft of the law for the ratification of the agreement on the debt between Kosovo and the European bank for the renewal and growth, for the project of the Kijevo-Zahac highway, and alternations of the Law on the Republic’s president.
Draft of Laws on alternations and addendums on control and supervision of the country’s boundaries will be discussed, as well as selections of the law on critical infrastructure, custom measurements and protection of intellectual assets’ rights.
The Parliament will also discuss the report on the productivity of public companies in 2015 and 2016 and the appointment of two members of the Committee for control and assessment of property and one member of the Committee for properties’ requests.
