Minister of foreign affairs Srdjan Damjanovic will award the former American vice-president Joseph Biden, Senator John McCain and Congressman Michael Turner for their contribution in promoting Montenegrin interests, international reputation and position, as well as strengthening international relations.
“In fact, the support of the mentioned American officials expressed to Montenegro throughout the European-Atlantic integration process was extremely important and appreciated, especially in the final phase of joining NATO as one of our most significant, if not the most significant foreign political priority. Therefore, the upcoming visit of minister Damjanovic will be an opportunity to express sincere gratitude to the USA for traditionally strong and continuous support towards Montenegro in the last period," stated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
As announced, minister Damjanovic will also have series of bilateral meetings in Washington with representatives of the American administration and the “think tank” community.
Damjanovic will visit the USA from 19th till 23rd March.
