“Demarcation has suppressed Kosovo and it is still doing it. The Government assisted in making a required epilogue to this subject. The new committee and new agreement between the two presidents (Kosovo and Montenegro) are before you. A number of our coalition members did not agree with the agreement (signed in 2015)," said Haradinaj.
For approval of the Law, 80 votes need to be provided out of the total 120, and the ruling party, except the “Serbian list” which also makes part of the Government in Kosovo, with the support of the Democratic Alliance has a total of 78 votes.
Against the approval of the Law, besides the “Serbian list” with 10 votes, are also members of the “Self-determination movement” with 32 votes.
The president of Kosovo’s parliament Kadri Veselji and the prime minister of Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj made intensive efforts in contacting the representatives of “Serbian list” in the last few days, but, as stated by the press in Pristina, they refused the demands which were proposed by the “Serbian list” as their terms for voting in favor of this Law.
