They commented on the fact that the Municipality of Tivat solved Kusovac’s residential status 19 years ago, but despite this fact, he had competed and had been received a very favorable and mostly non-refundable housing loan to "solve housing issues" by the local government at the end of last year.
On Sunday "Vijesti" released documents proving that the Tivat Municipality at the then local mayor of Montenegro's Public Revenue Office in Tivat, Siniša Kusovac, in 1999, handed over 533 square meters of land on Seljanovo to settle the housing issue by building a family home. Kusovac got the subject plot at a discounted price for a total of 2,542 euros, half of which was to be repaid within the next five years. In that period, Kusovac could not sell this land without the permission of the Municipality of Tivat but he did it three years later - in the spring of 2003, when he sold the land on Seljanovo and a 150 square meter house to spouses from Belgrade at 16 times higher price, i.e. for 40,000 euros.
Although it was hindered by Article 6 of the "Decision on the Settlement of Housing Needs of a Person Elected in the SO or the President of the Municipality and other Persons whose Work of Special Interest for the Municipality", because the local administration has already settled the housing question by the end of the month, Kusovac then and from the Municipality got a "loan for the housing issue settled to buy a flat" of 52,000 euros, of which, in the next 20 years, in the budget of the town will be reimbursed only 14,650 euros.
Stressing that Kusovac's 1999 salary from the Municipality was "unpopularly low for ordinary mortals" and that he had "unlawfully sold" it after several years, Tivat’s Action stated that the mayor also illegally received a 52,000-euro residential loan last year.
"In the meantime, from the current first man of the Tivat Municipality property registry three apartments have mysteriously disappered, and we do not put the question of the morality of Kusovac and his party friends and coalition partners in the future, and we have persuaded ourselves in the absolute absence of moral sentiments for countless times. We do not ask the question related to the judiciary reaction that would have to adequately sanction these financial-housing mismanagements of Kusovac, we have persuaded, too many times, that in Montenegro there is no essence of justice, that is to say, to the extent that his work was determined and channeled by the ruling party. We are still asking: who of you, citizens of Tivat, and at what price at the next local elections in our town? after all that Kusovac and his party partners and coalition partners have done and are still doing to us, will we have the strength and rationality to vote for DPS, SD and HGI agaon?" said Miomir Abović from TA.
He asked the ruling coalition voters how they will "one day explain to their children and grandchildren that in the elections they voted for the people who mercilessly destroyed their town, and at the same time the face of armor and absolute obedience to the disastrous politics of their party bosses-became enormously rich and filled their pockets to the top. "There is no longer any philosophy, the question is simple: Do you want a good property card of Kusovac and a property card of his party bosses, associates and coalition partners, or do you wish well to your town, to yourself and your descendants," Abović told to the citizens of Tivat.
