The meeting for the unification is planned for October 21st in Cetinje.
Rađenovic in his appeal called for "all liberals to unify", in order to continue to carry out the idea of liberalism, shift the ruling party and seek the trust in institutions by their depoliticization. Last year, Rađenovic was against the candidate Andrija Popovic for the post of president of the Liberal Party, and after the defeat at the Congress, he left the party with the entire Budva board. He argued that LP should break off the coalition with DPS at the state level, as he did in Budva in 2013. In the message, he states that the goal is that the state becomes "free from corruption".
"To arrest the criminals and organized crime groups, to make the prosecution independent, and the judiciary impartial. To protect and return our private property to every citizen from whom it has been unlawfully seized, to implement social policy and to raise salaries, to reduce public debt by revision of existing loans. Let's put special emphasis on health and education, to make our youth a priority. We deserve to become an acknowledged member the EU countries," Rađenović pointed out.
He stressed that the civilian option is the future of Montenegro, citing that some members of the LP and URA would send clear messages that they want to change the regime and advocate for civilian power.
A spokesman for "Vijesti" from the URA movement said that preparations were being made to organize a unification conference, stating that it was part of the expansion of the civilian opposition block.
At the local elections in May, URA participated in a coalition with the Democrats, with whom it still leads a coordinated policy.
The Liberal Party of Andrija Popovic is allegedly the heir to a party formerly led by Slavko Perovic, but formally is the partner of DPS and supports their policy.
