The Special State Prosecutor's Office has estimated that in a controversial engagement in which Porto Montenegro was acquitted of 5.6 million euros of communal services, no criminal offense was allegedly committed ex officio. From this authority managed by Milivoje Katnić, they state that it is "in the extreme, civil-legal relationship, debt-credit relations, and if there are differences in attitudes by certain bases and determined amounts of compensation, the dissatisfied party can protect their rights in court proceedings before the competent court."
The contract with Porto that finally amnesties the debt of the Municipality of this company in the amount of 5.6 million euros was signed on the 20th of September by the mayor and president of OO DPS Tivat dr. Siniša Kusovac, and the consent of this work was previously received by the local parliament in January this year with the votes of 17 members of DPS.
“Tivat’s Action”
When the first man of the ruling coalition in Montenegro, Mr. Milo Djukanovic, visited Tivat on April 5th as part of the presidential campaign, he ultimately announced that the Tivat Municipality should sign a contract with Porto for discharging €5.6 million for utility equipment on municipal land, and when Djukanovic became President of Montenegro eleven days later, it was clear that it was only a matter of time when Sinisa Kusovac who, thanks to the absolute readiness to sign this damaging treaty became the President of the Municipality, put his signature on contract with Porto Montenegro. Simply, it was not realistic to expect the Lord to release his devoted servant down the water; this is the logic that the Lord governs in relation to his servants. Therefore, the release of the current president of the Tivat Municipality downstream does not come into account, at least not at this point. Only time will tell," said the deputy from TA in SO Tivat, Miomir Abović.
