May 23, 2018 - Montenegro and Macedonia are natural regional partners with good political relations and numerous opportunities to strengthen economic cooperation, assessed the president of the Parliament Ivan Brajovic at the meeting with Macedonian Minister of Defense Radmila Sekerinska Jankovski.
As stated by the parliament, Brajovic highlighted that Montenegro, as a NATO member and first in line to join the European Union, will share their integration experiences with Macedonia and other countries that want to go on the same path.
"The meeting was about the importance of continuing the implementation of strategic policies for the future between the two states and influence the clear political goals for the implementation of internal reforms," said the statement.
As quoted, the correspondents also commented on the messages sent from the Summit about the Western Balkans in Sofia and stressed the importance of maintaining the EU's focus on the Region.
"The agreement was reached that, concerning the principle of the regatta, a strong message is sent mainly to small states that EU access depends largely on the achieved results."
