The little old church Gospa od Anđela (Our Lady of Angels) is located in the most narrow part of the Boka Bay - the Verige Strait. Although its roof is engraved with the years 1585 and 1654, it has been documented that the church was built much earlier and that these numbers only reflect the years of its reconstructions. According to legends, from this very location, long iron chains ("verige" in the local dialect) were lifted from the sea across the strait to block the enemy ships from entering the bay.
