April 11, 2019- The 44Cup 2019 season started on 10 April with the 44Cup Porto Montenegro. Hosted for the first time by the world-renowned superyacht marina Porto Montenegro. the race course is set on the beautiful Bay of Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage site, offering the teams a good sea and fair winds against a stunning mountainous backdrop.
The Racing Tour will then continue on to four of the best sailing destinations in Europe including the picturesque town of Rovinj in Croatia for event two and the Swedish sailing Mecca of Marstrand Island for event three. Then in early October, it is on to a favourite venue for the fleet – Cascais, Portugal – where the boats will once again get to race in the big waves of the Atlantic Ocean.
The fifth and final event of the 2019 44Cup will take place in a venue that is extremely well known in the yacht racing community, but where, surprisingly, the RC44s will be making their debut – Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
