October 7, 2018 - Montenegro is in the process of joining the European Union after more than six years since the beginning of the accession negotiations. There are two more chapters to be opened, and one of them is negotiating Chapter 8 on the competition. 

October 5, 2018 - The Assembly of Montenegro should form the Working Group for Electoral Legislation Reform by the end of October if the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) accepts the proposals submitted by the opposition. At yesterday's session of the President’s Assembly Collegium Board, attended by the chairmen of delegation clubs and representatives of non-club parliamentary parties, it was agreed that DPS, by the end of next week, will respond to the proposals from the Democratic Front (DF), Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Social Democrats.
