07 September 2018 -The Festival of International Alternative Theater FIAT 2017, one of the largest and most important cultural events in Montenegro, will begin on Friday, September 7th and last until September 16th. During ten festival days, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy a multitude of international performances from different countries of the world and the region, but also an extremely interesting and diverse accompanying program
Before the start of the International Alternative Theater Festival FIAT 2018, a press conference was held to present the main and accompanying programs. During the, conference the organisers announced that the locations where FIAT will be hosted included Kuslev House Gallery, Montenegrin National Theatre and the Cultural-Information Centre "Budo Tomović". They also used the opportunity to invite all citizens and tourists to be part of this year's Festival of International Alternative Theatre and emphasized that entrance is free of charge.
As announced, 10 performances from different countries of the world and the region will be held in the main, competitive segment of the festival, and the main focus of this segment will be performances from Hungary, in cooperation with the Embassy of Hungary in Podgorica.
The rich accompanying program of the festival will include book nights, book promotions, art exhibitions, film segment, FIAT forum and music program.
This year's festival sponsors are the Ministry of Culture of Montenegro and the City of Podgorica.
