05 September 2018 - The impressive work of the sculptor Zlatko Glamočak, the bust sculpture of King Constantine Bodin of Duklja, will soon be placed on King Nikola's promenade in Bar.
The completion of the bronze sculpture, which weighs around 300 kilograms, was financed by the Montenegrin Ministry of Culture. Glamočak announced that the actor Slobodan Marunović provided great help with the project promotion.
Zlatko Glamočak said that the representatives of the Bar Municipality finally decided to set up the sculpture, for which he has been patiently waiting for three years: "I have already conducted the measurement and the preparations needed for the bust sculpture to be placed on the promenade. Now, I am waiting for the authorities of the Bar Municipality to decide whether the sculpture can be placed in that exact place. After that, the Ministry of Culture should announce the date of the sculpture installment. The decision of the sculpture placement date does not depend on me, but it would be nice for it to be on Bar City Day, November 24th. "
He added that the bust is 1,3 meters high and that the hand range is 2,4 meters. The Bar promenade is already the home for Glamočak's sculpture of Pop Dukljanin.
Sculptor Zlatko Glamočak was born in 1957. in Bihać, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He graduated from FLU and post-diploma studies in Belgrade. Glamočak continued his education in Venice and Paris. He has exhibited at more than 100 group exhibitions, salons, and showrooms in the country and abroad. The sculptor is a member of ULUCG from 1992. He currently lives in Paris. Glamočak is the winner of the following awards: Golden chisel at the Spring exhibition of ULUS, Belgrade, 1986; The Salon of sculpture award, The award of public; Redemption of the Regional Fund of modern arts, Spring Salon Clichy, Paris, 1992; Award for the best independent exhibition in 1999, ULUCG, Podgorica, 2000.
