21 August 2018 - On August 27 and 27, the 5th International Jazz Bay Festival in Herceg Novi will be held.
During the two festival days, fans of this type of music will have the opportunity to enjoy the performances of famous jazz musicians from America, Austria, Croatia, Serbia, and Montenegro.
“The first night of the festival will be performed at the "Music Square", where the pianist Mikan Zlatković (USA) will perform in front of the audience with the band: Miloš Grbatinić (Drummer SRB), Branko Marković (Contrabass SRB) and as the guest of the evening, Montenegrin guitarist Miodrag Šule Jovović will join them on the stage. As a pre-group, the youth jazz band Cvetković & Nikičić from Belgrade will perform. Pianist Matija Dedić and the "New Quartet Jazz Band" from Croatia will hold a concert on the second day of the festival in the "Park" hall, before the jazz trio "Dusha connection" from Austria will perform. The ticket price for this concert is 2 EUR.
For all interested young jazzists, the programme contents of the festival will be completed by the Master Class, which will be held at the Music School Herceg Novi on August 25th from 5 PM by pianist Mikan Zlatković. After the official programme, the visitors of the two evenings of the festival will be able to enjoy the jam session, which is traditionally held at "Stanica" on Škver.
The organizers emphasize that they will continue to consider the quality of programme contents and the general character of the festival in the future as well.
“We hope that this year we will pay attention to the festival and our city, which will be the place of a real "World Music and Moment" these two days,” said the president and director of Jazz Bay festival Nada Karadžić.
