07 August 2018 - The quality of seawater on the coast of Herceg Novi is ranked first class on 19 bathing sites, and only two of them are K2, which is second class, as reported from the analyses done on Montenegrin coastal towns between August 1-4.
Second class categories, which are also fine for bathing and recreation, are found at the central beach in Kumbor and the beach "Palmon Bay" in Igalo.
The results of the analysis of seawater quality for 100 public bath sites, which the Institute of Biology had to carry out in the period from August 1st to August 4th, showed that at 96% of the seawater, the quality of seawater was K1 class, while 4% of the areas were K2 classes. These results confirm that the seawater on the Montenegrin beaches is of excellent quality, which means that it is sanitary and safe for bathing and recreation.
The results of testing the sanitary quality of seawater, as well as the data on sea temperature, air temperature and salinity for each individual bathing site, can be found on the special application on the website www.morskodobro.com.
