17 July, 2018 - For the 60th anniversary of Mediala’s first exhibition on June 31, 1958, which was organized at the Youth Gallery in Obilićev Venac in Belgrade, the exhibition “The Trail of Mediala” (“Tragom Mediale”) will be opened in Budva Modern Gallery on July 18 at 9 PM.
The exhibition will be opened by Nataša Kristić, an art historian from Valjevo, Serbia, and it will be opened to visitors by August 1. The organizer of the exhibition is curator Senka Subotić.
The exhibition brings together the works of the following artists: Olja Ivanjicki, VukotA Tupa Vukotić, Ljubo Popović, Uroš Tošković, Dado Đurić, Milić od Mačve and Vladimir Veličković. It also includes those who bowed to the idea, but also decided to independently follow Mediala’s trail - Mihailo Đoković Tikalo, Ksenija Divjak, Dušan Gavela and Voja Stanić - and also the artists of the middle and younger generation, Predrag Peđa Milošević, Željko Đurović, Sergea Aparin, Zoran Petrušić, Slavko Krunić, Milan Tucović, Vladimir Dunjić, Tijana Kojić, Kristina Pirković , Đerđi Ačaji and Katarina Zarić.
Some of the works come from the Fund of the Modern Gallery of Budva, a significant part has been provided by the Modern Gallery of Valjevo from Ljubo Popović, and a large number was collected from private collections of citizens.
