16 July, 2018 - The concert of the piano duo Tra Noi, performed by pianists Jelena Vukićević Vukmirović and Ivana Pešić, marked the official opening of the 11th festival of classical music "Espressivo" last night in Cetinje.
On Sunday, July 15, at 9 PM in the "Ivan Crnojević" hall in the Government House, the audience enjoyed the sounds of the piano duo "Tra Noi". These talented artists have been performing together for ten years and have had concerts in Montenegro, Serbia, Republika Srpska, Italy, and Russia. Their most significant duo performances are at the festivals "Nei suoni dei luoghi" in Italy, "Budva city Theater" in Montenegro, marking the 10th anniversary of Montenegro's independence organized by the Embassy of Montenegro at the Moscow Museum of Music Culture and the State Historical Museum of Kremlin in Russia, as well as a concert and master class of chamber music in cooperation with the Music Academy in East Sarajevo, and organized by the Student Festival of Classical Music "Orfej". The program of this year’s Espressivo included Souvenir of Hapsal op.2 by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Lentamente, Vivace Moderato by Hermann Goetz and Vocalise (arr. Anderson&Roe) by Sergei Rachmaninoff.
The festival will continue on July 19th when the world-famous pianist Vladimir Viardo will perform at the Government House. The next concert is reserved for July 23, when "Clazz Quintet", composed of professors in Montenegrin elementary and middle music schools will make their appearance and impress the audience. In the continuation of the program, on July 28, the guest of the festival will be Albanian pianist Silva Skenderi, while the July concert will be held on July 30th, and will feature two top artists, Viktor Tretiakov and Natalia Likhopoi from Russia. The festival is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, the University of Montenegro and the Music Academy, the Municipality of Cetinje and the National Museum of Montenegro.
