16 July, 2018 - In the following period, the town of Kotor prepared rich programme. On the July 16, within the KotorArt festival the concert “Knight of Music” will take place at the summer stage, starting at 10 PM. During this concert, violinist Nemanja Radulović (SER/FRA) and Ensemble Double Sense (FRA) will perform, while the narrator will be Tamara Aleksić (SER). The entrance is free.
Kotor Art, which is held for more than a month during the high season in Kotor's Old Town, takes place through four program segments: Festival of Klapa Perast, Festival of Theater for Children, Don Branko's Music Days, and Philosophers' Square.
The festival has become a significant and essential part of the Kotor and Montenegrin cultural identity, and throughout the many years of its existence, it has become nationally and internationally branded as a first-class art event, bringing the world's musical elite to Montenegro. Kotor Art gathers over 1000 artists from more than 20 countries for 250 diverse, artistic and scientific programs that attract around 50.000 visitors each year.
Another event that is under the organization of the Municipality of Kotor is “Open Kotor Squares”. Within this festival, an event “Laughter on Wednesday” will be held from July 18th to August 8th. On Wednesdays, the audience will have an opportunity to listen and to laugh with a variety of performers. All programmes will start at 10 PM and entrance will be free during the whole event.
A performance “Ladies Stand Up” will open this event, featuring Marina Orseg, Miranda Lončar, Martina Ipsa and Vlatko Mifka. Seven days later, Nikola Đuričko prepared a stand-up show “All you wanted to know about Johnny, but you never were allowed to ask”.
