July 09, 2018 - Although no one expected, the Viva Vox concert was once again packed at Kanli Kula in Herceg Novi. This is the third time that the Viva Vox choir has played in front of the Herceg Novi audience.
The choir from Belgrade performs without any instruments, purely making sounds of music and instruments by their voices. The first track to open their concert already revealed that it would be full of energy, enthusiasm and dedication. The Viva Vox choir started with the soundtrack from the movie “Star Wars”, which only confirmed that they keep up with the world’s top performers and trends.
The conductor Jasmina Lorin, who has done this job for the past 13 years, greeted the audience and visitors at the opening of the concert. When she asked the audience if they would have a good time, she received a round of applause.
“It is always a special thing to perform at Kanli Kula. The audience is wonderful and they keep our energy at high levels, even when it falls down sometimes. Keeping this in mind, we hope that we will come again, if not during the next year, at least once in two years,” said one of the singers.
Viva Vox has been internationally recognized by their Youtube upload from 2011 of the “Great Spring Concert”, which took place in the Youth Centre of Belgrade and hit over a million views in just over a week. They are also famous for their “Du Hast” cover, the song of the popular German band Rammstein. The band also performed at the United Nations General Assembly Hall, which makes them the only music ensemble from Serbia that did so ever.
In the next few days, Herceg Novi will host a concert “Summer with Friends”, where local and regional music assemblies will perform in front of the audience of the Cultural Centre in Đenovići at 9 PM. Also, on July 9, the audience of Herceg Novi will have an opportunity to listen to vocal group “Konstantin” from Serbia in the garden of the Town Musem “Mirko Komnenović”, and a musical for the kids “Legend about Courage” in Park Hall (Dvorana Park), both at 9 PM.
The annual event “Days of Music” starts on July 10 and the performance by the choir “Collegium Musicum” at Kanli Kula at 9.30 PM will officially mark a start of this event. A day later, on July 11 at 9 PM, Kanli Kula will host a theater show “Šta me snađe“ („What Came Upon Me”) featuring famous actress Anđelka Pripić.
