28 September 2018 - On September 28, the manifestation “Days of Honey in Podgorica” was opened in the Capital City of Montenegro. The event was attended by numerous producers of honey and beeswax products from all over Montenegro.
This three-day event has gathered more than 50 beekeepers who exhibited their honey, which visitors will be able to taste and buy for the duration of the event.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Milutin Simović, attended the opening of the manifestation. He congratulated the beekeepers on the results they achieved in the previous year, with the desire to continue to work together on the further development of Montenegrin beekeeping. Such partnerships are the result of the commitment of both the state sector and beekeepers, and they are a guarantee of the progress of the Montenegrin sector of agriculture and the overall economic development and development of the society of Montenegro, Simović explained.
This traditional beekeeping event, which is held for the 24th time, is organized by the Association of Beekeepers of Podgorica, under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Podgorica Capital City. President of the Association of beekeepers of Podgorica Mirko Šćepanović, president of the Beekeepers Union of Montenegro Radule Miljanić and the representative of the Capital City of Montenegro, Vladimir Pavićević also addressed the participants and the visitors at the opening of the manifestation.
