22 October 2018 - Consortium made up of the Electric Power Company of Montenegro and the Finnish company “Fortum”, chosen to construct a solar power plant in Briska gora in Ulcinj, plans to hire 226 people for the project, while the worth of the project is estimated at 178 million EUR.
“The consortium offered the most favorable conditions in the context of the number of new jobs, amount of leasehold, technical equipment, power on one solar power plant with the installed power of 100 megawatts, financial capability and participation of domestic companies,” said the representatives of the Fortum company.
This consortium offered 33 cents per one square meter for the amount of the annual leasehold.
If everything goes according to plan, the works on the construction of the solar power plant will last 36 months maximum.
The land will be leased for 30 years, and then the plant will become the state’s ownership.
