Let's leave something to our children – a message from the gathering that symbolically started a “minute to 12pm”, was organized in the Budva Port. More than a hundred citizens responded to the protest organized by the NGO "Porat - Pizana" to invite Montenegro to return the Budva Port to the city and its citizens.
"We are asking for Budva Port to be returned to the local utility service because it has been tried to be turned into the marina in all possible ways. In the “Register of Montenegrin Ports and Marinas,” it is a port of local importance, not a marina, and we want it to remain so," said the president of the NGO "Porat - Pizana" Jerolim Dragićević.
The locals walked by the dock, then sailed to the ships, and expressed their revolt with the sirens and pistols.
The same NGO is also leading a civilian movement against the Government of Montenegro's intention to grant St. Nicholas a long-term lease with the aim of building a tourist resort.
