21 October 2018 - According to the report of the News Station Radio Jadran, from 1st July to 1st September, the Tourist Organization of Herceg Novi conducted a survey of tourists within the area of 11 local communities. A total of 2,721 tourists who came from 38 countries were surveyed, and the most guests were from Serbia (28,6%), Bosnia and Herzegovina (17,5%), Russia (14,4%), Montenegro (6,8%), Norway (3,9%) and France (3,19%), while the others were represented with less than 3%.
In the interview that Radio Jadran conducted with Dalibor Vuković, the manager for development and diversification of tourism product, he announced that the average rating of the tourist offer and services is at the level of the last year (4,05). The surveyed tourists were most satisfied with the ratio of prices and quality of accommodation, which was assessed by the average rating of 4.38, and the quality of the tourist offer (4,24). The average grade for the quality of manifestations has shown a slight fall in comparison with the previous year, and it is now at a level of 3,73.
According to Vuković, there is a noticeable decrease in the number of complaints about the cleanliness, arrangement, and equipment of the beaches. Nevertheless, these remarks are still the once that tourists have expressed the most, and they make about 38,21% of the answers, while in the second place the problems are related to parking, and they account for 29,92% of respondent's answers. Also, complaints on traffic and local bus transport are followed by 19,13%. These remarks are mainly related to crowds in the city and the delay in public transport.
Permanent guests positively evaluated the city's tourist offer, which was better than last year. Those who visit the city for the first time, and especially guests outside the region, are delighted with the city's beauty, climate, and nature.
The survey showed that tourists were mostly motivated to visit Herceg Novi for the beaches and the sea (87,6%), followed by history and architecture (22%) and activities and excursions (20,6% of responses).
