17 October 2018 - Olivera Doklestić and Zorica Drakulić Vidaković are the winners of this year's October awards, while actress Tanja Bošković is the winner of the City Charter.
As the president of the jury, Nenad Sekulic pointed out the decision of all members was unanimous.
"On the basis of submitted proposals and biographies of the candidates, we decided without any turmoil that the winners of the October Award were Olivera Doklestić and Zorica Drakulić Vidaković, and Herceg Novi's City Charter went to Actress Tanja Bošković, who was the only candidate for this award," said Sekulić.
Olivera Doklestić was nominated by the Local Community of Serbia, Zorica Drakulić Vidaković was nominated by NGO Volunteer Blood Donors Club, while Tanja Bošković was nominated by Agency for Construction and Development of Herceg Novi.
The largest city awards are presented to the Municipal Day on October 28, and so far the October Award and the Charter have been awarded to 168 individuals and organizations.
Members of the jury include Sekulić Miladen Vidaković, Ilija Bačanović, Miloslav Dabović, Ana Šojić, Željko Dapčević, Tonka Tomašević, Ranko Konjević and Mario Kilibarda.
Other candidates for the October award were the captain Goran Dašić, nominated by the Bijela local community, a journalist and publicist Neđeljko Kočetanović, who was nominated by the Zelenika-Kuti Local Community, conservator and architect Srđan Marlović, at the initiative of the Citizens Group, NGOs and business people of Herceg Novi.
