Because of this, TOB has been found in a tight time limitation, because the team from Belgrade was responsible for providing the stage, sound, lighting and other technical support for New Year's Eve in front of the Old Town, one of the most significant manifestations organized in the metropolis.
The "Sky Solutions" offer was chosen as the best one from the tender that was completed in early July. They offered to provide technical support to the organization of events planned for the TOB calendar for €159,625. The offer of the consortium of four companies - the Budva "Multimedia group", the Belgrade companies "Megaton" and "Svetlost teatar" and the subordinate "BBA aggregates", amounting to 110,684 thousand euros, was rejected as incorrect.
"Sky Solutions" over the past few months have technically helped maintain several events, as well as the Beer Festival.
To the TOB decision filed an appeal by the "Multimedia group" on behalf of the consortium, which was adopted by the State Commission and found that the TO had done a substantial violation of the Public Procurement Act.
This was followed by a war on the "Multimedia group" - TOB - Municipality of Budva. The "Multimedia Group" filed a criminal complaint with the Special State Prosecutor's Office against the leaders of the TOB and the Municipality for hosting the New Year's Eve in 2018, claiming that it was embezzled several hundred thousand euros, which was dismissed as unfounded by the local government and the Touristic Organization, claiming that everything was done by law.
TOB is busy preparing the New Year's Eve program at the square, so the latest events about canceling tenders will further complicate it. It is still not known who the main star will be at the Old Town Square. Last year's public event cost about 350 thousand euros, and this year the municipality and TO are expected to allocate the same sum, because Budva already has strong competition in other coastal towns, so engaging the most popular names from the regional music scene is the only way that Budva would keep the epithet of fun epicenter during New Year's holidays.
