October 8, 2018 - Over the past nine months, the school inspectors carried out a total of 11 inspection visits to private pre-school institutions and nine in public, and found irregularities in six private and six state kindergartens.

As stated, one private kindergarten and four public pre-school institutions were fined with 500 euro and the responsible persons with 100 euro.

The established irregularities in five private kindergartens are related to the non-submission of the application for licensing of the private preschool institution with accompanying documentation to the Ministry of Education, which is why, according to the Management Board, they are prohibited to work until they obtain the required license from the respective ministry.

An established irregularity in one private preschool institution referred to the announcement of a public vacancy announcement for teachers without the anticipated probationary work. Due to established irregularities, a request for initiating misdemeanor proceedings is submitted to the competent court. The competent misdemeanor court imposed a fine in the amount of 500 euro and to the responsible person a fine of 100 euro, said the Management Board and added that no irregularities were detected in the work of five institutions in the supervisory process.

In the first nine months of this year, the school inspectors carried out nine inspections in public preschool institutions.

There are no irregularities found in the work of the three public pre-school institutions under the supervision procedure.

Educational inspectors, point out that the Board did not control private institutions providing extended residence services to scholars.
