01 October 2018 - On Wednesday, October 3rd at 6 PM, at the Polimski Museum in Berane, a natural-art exhibition entitled "Montenegro is special" will be opened.
The exhibition will present a segment of the material from the rich collections of the Natural-Art Museum, which will convey the richness of the natural heritage of Montenegro to the audience. Special emphasis is placed on the endemic, protected, rare and relict species. In addition to biodiversity, the exhibition will also include a segment of geodiversity, with special emphasis on ores and minerals.
The exhibition will be open for a month.
The Polimski Museum is located in a building that represented the centre of cultural events in Berane in the middle of the nineties; it served for the organization of various events: masquerades, concerts, first theatre performances etc. The building is located in the centre of Berane, and it is fully reconstructed, partly for the needs of the Museum, and partly for other purposes.
The building of today's museum was the endowment of King Aleksandar I Karađorđević. Considering that the City Library and the meeting rooms are found within the same building, the museum can only exhibit a small part of the rich collection that it possesses.
The Polimski Museum is located in Berane, at the Miloša Mališića Street, and its working hours are from 8 AM to 8 PM.
