30 September 2018 - The unique Bosnian singer Amira Medunjanin, accompanied by the brilliant guitarist Boško Jović, took the audience on an almost two-hour emotional journey at her incredible concert last night in the crowded hall of the Nikšić Theatre. The first song that Amira sang was a famous traditional song “Kradem ti se u večeri”.
Medunjanin pointed out that the concert was wonderful and that she spent a wonderful time in Nikšić, the city she visited for the first time. "When I come to a city for the first time, and when I feel a strong positive energy, then I become thrilled, and I remember the city for that exact energy and positivity. It is a kind of love that never ends. Each time a new emotion begins to emerge. Boško made me cry for a few moments. He really made me emotional tonight by choosing some songs that sort of take me away and make me live just for that moment. It was a wonderful concert," Amira said.
The audience gave the artists a prolonged applause at the end of the concert, and then Amira and Boško prepared a surprise as a gift. Their performance during an encore was a homage to the famous Nikšić author, Miladin Šobić.
"His songs are my childhood. I was fortunate to grow up with great music, which educated me and shaped me into the woman I am today." I think that Miladin was one of the greatest musicians from this region, and it hurts me that he had not managed to give even more. I know all of his songs by heart. I adore his poetry above all. These lyrics are small life philosophies," Amira said.
