28 September 2018 - The 13th International Nikšić Guitar Festival was officially opened on September 27th in the hall of the Nikšić Theater at 8 PM.
The honor to open this year's edition of the Nikšić Guitar Festival was given to the young German artist Julia Trintschuk, who performed on the evening of September 27th accompanied by the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra. The audience had the opportunity to hear the concert "Aranjuez", one of the famous works by Spanish composer Joaquín Rodrigo.
Julia Trintschuk, the winner of the Montenegro International Guitar Competition, who is a member of the unofficial Champions league of guitarists, EuroStrings Guitarist - European Guitar Festival Collaborative, delighted the audience on the first evening of the festival with her inspiring performance.
During the six festival evenings, from September 27 to October 2, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy the highest quality concerts of local and international guitarists. Accordingly, David Marton, Katarina Dadić and Vuk Dragićević have shown their incredible guitar skills and lavish talent on September 28 at the Public Institution "Zahumlje Hall”.
Within the framework of the festival program, since its beginning in 2005, the International Guitar Festival Nikšić has had the opportunity to host some of the eminent names of the classical guitar world, but also regional artistic stars.
The organizers were also pleased to announce the performance of the regional star and exceptional artist Amira Medunjanin, accompanied by great musician Boško Jović. Their concert is scheduled for Saturday, September 29th, at 8 PM.
Festival performances will continue on Monday, October 1st, when talented and multi-award-winning guitarists You Wu from China and Cyprien N'tsaï from France will perform at the PI "Zahumlje" starting at 8 pm.
