Let’s recall, the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award was founded in 1972 in honor of Madame Clicquot, an outstanding businesswoman, and is awarded each year to successful businesswomen around the world. The Veuve Clicquot award is a kind of Oscar and a recognition for all the strong women who enjoy having the entrepreneurial spirit and courage, which was a distinguished feature of this exquisite French woman. Madame Clicquot got married in 1798 to Françoise Clicquot, a successful champagne producer. When she became a widow at the age of 27, she took over the business and became the first woman who led the company. Her modern spirit was proven in 1810, by producing the first vintage wine in the Champagne region.
Today, the prestigious Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award is represented in 27 countries and the Energy Star International company has organized this prestigious award for the third consecutive year in Montenegro. In addition, this event is held regionally (Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro), and in the end, the finalists of the participating countries will find themselves at the final award and proclamation in Ljubljana. After that, the winner will have the opportunity to take part in the final evening in France, in Reims, where the winners of the countries awarding this prestigious prize will gather.
In Montenegro, next to Ana Nives Radovic, nominees for 2018 were Sanja Lekić, owner of the company "Alfa Ton Lekić" and BLT Medical Montenegro and Ivana Ivančević - Jovović, owner of cake and delicacies factory "Čarolija".
