24 September 2018 - The most recent report of the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services shows that the total number of broadband connections amounts to 152.735. Around 92% of the total number refers to households and the remaining 8% refers to private persons.
“In comparison to the same period last year, the number of broadband connections is higher and we are very satisfied with that. This practically means that there are 73% of households in Montenegro which have active broadband Internet access, which is in accordance with our strategic plans and expectations. 3G Coverage of the populated areas is 99%, whereas coverage of 4G signal is over 95%,” said the representatives of the Ministry of Economy of Montenegro.
According to the research carried out by the Statistical Office of Montenegro (MONSTAT) and in relation to the use of information and telecommunication technologies, around 70,6% of the population had access to the Internet from their homes and around 98,4% used computers in doing their jobs.
Representatives of the Ministry of Economy think that there is space for the improvement of business activities through the application of information and telecommunication technologies in the regular activities of companies.
