August 30, 2018 - The Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism, in cooperation with the local Tourism Organization and the Durmitor National Park, under the project "Development of Panoramic Paths of Montenegro", established the "Durmitor Ring" for tourists - an 800kilometer-long ring which represents Durmitor's attractive tourist offer.

The work planned for this year is coming to an end, says Anka Kujovic from the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism.

"The final phase is to establish tourist markings necessary for the easy access of tourists who travel through these panoramic paths. We will also create a promotional map in several languages, prepare a complete audio guide, and carry out a major project to set up 16-holiday locations, including bench seating, tables, info tables and parking. Everything will work in harmony with the ambient and will not distort the nature," said Kujovic.

Kujovic added that part of the works will be completed during autumn and part of next year and that in the next year, this will represent a novelty in Durmitor's total touristic offer. The Master Plan of Tourism Development until 2020 envisages to connect Montenegro with panoramic roads, to link the tourist offer of the north and south in order to promote the growth of tourist traffic in areas that have exceptional but insufficiently exploited potential. Increasing tourism traffic will stimulate the development of agricultural production and provide additional income for the local population, as expected in the Ministry of Tourism and Sustainable Development.
