"It will be rainy on Sunday and Monday but from Tuesday there is going to be a stabilization and a rise in temperature. We expect a drop in temperature of six to eight degrees," Burić said on the TVCG Morning program. He said that in September we are also to expect warm days.
"We can say that we are expecting 'Miholj’s summer' in early September and that the summer conditions will be extended," Burić said. The maximum temperature measured this summer was recorded yesterday - 38.1 degrees in Podgorica.
"On 24th August 2007, Podgorica measured 44.8 degrees, which is the absolute maximum when the capital is concerned," Burić said.
He also states that all the months were above the average, but there were no weather extremes if we exclude the twister in July on the coast.
"In Podgorica, there were 92 tropical days and 64 tropical nights. In August, we had all tropical days and nights," Burić said.
He also said that he was reluctant to comment on long-term forecasts because their accuracy is low.
"The forecast becomes less reliable for as much as the period for which it is made gets longer," Burić said.
