14 August 2018 - For the sixth year in a row, the Nikšić Brewery "Trebjesa" and Ecology Movement "Ozon", through the implementation of the Rock & Recycle campaign, have contributed to the ecology program of Lake Fest.
Aside from the traditional action, "Collect 20 plastic cups and receive a gift", which aims to reward a responsible attitude towards nature, during which around 20,000 cups were collected this year, visitors of this green festival had the opportunity to get acquainted with the results of the campaign of the last year's Lake Fest. Last year’s campaign resulted in the Otter Sculpture created by the academic painter Marko Petrović Njegoš.
The Otter Sculpture, 3,2 meters high, made of about 30,000 plastic cups, inspired all visitors, as confirmed by a large number of photos on social networks.
Within the “Eco checkpoint“ camp, special attention was given to the "XO magic box" competition, during which campers showed an enviable level of knowledge of this popular game, all the while recycling plastic cups, which was the condition for participation.
In order to make the camp and festival space cleaner, biodegradable waste bags were distributed daily, and the campers had the opportunity to see the benefits of “plogging”, which is a growing fitness trend. For the first time in Montenegro, this trend has been promoted and implemented, all within the Rock & Recycle campaign of this year's Lake Fest.
A new sculpture will be created from the collected plastic cups, which will represent the continuance of the successful cooperation with the young artist Petrović Njegoš.
