Exercise director Colonel Stojan Šopov stressed that exercise is extremely important because it raises the level of interoperability, not only at the level of the allies, but also the coalition forces within the "Partnership for Peace”.

"We had a very good coordination between all nations and I can argue that we have reached the set goals. I can say that all the units, all the countries that participated in the exercise, have shown that together we can do even more, that we are strong and that we can successfully cooperate," Colonel Šopov concluded.
Commander of the 2nd Infantry troop Major Miloš Gačević pointed out that for the members of the Army of Montenegro had many goals, but above all, to improve the level of interoperability with the armed forces of participating States, especially in the field of operations.

"The second goal is to exchange experience in the field of tactics, techniques, and procedures in the attack, defense, and stability operations, as well as in modern military operations. The third goal I would like to highlight is to realize those training segments which we cannot currently have in Montenegro," he added. Gačević, as the main conclusion, stated that the "Platinum Lion 18" exercise showed the capacity and willingness of the armed forces of participating States to jointly respond to all challenges in their respective areas.

The "Platinum Lion 18" exercise brought together about 700 members of the armed forces of Albania, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, the United States and Serbia, and was implemented at the level of squads and troops.
